FINDING THE JOY.HOLIDAY HELP FOR VETS WITH PTSD:

The winter holiday season is regarded by many as a wonderful time of the year. However, the holidays can be a painful reminder of past times when life seemed better, or maybe worse. Family gatherings and other holiday events may be stressful for someone with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

IMMEDIATE HELP FOR VETS IN CRISIS:

In a time of crisis, the Veterans Crisis Hotline is here 24/7. There are a lot of groups who can offer vets a community of support. But in a crisis situation, there is no better place to turn than the official Veterans Crisis Hotline. If you or a loved one are in crisis, please don't hesitate to call.

SOMETIMES HELPING OTHERS IS A GREAT WAY TO HELP OURSELVES:

We need to look out for each other. Not only because it the right thing to do, but also because it's the healthy thing to do. Sometimes the best way to combat depression and isolation is to volunteer with groups like Habitat for Humanity and others.
